On the 8th of December, we held a Christmas Brunch at the KitchenLab to kick off this season’s festivities in collaboration with Chef and Author Lara Ariss. We were joined by various bloggers and influencers, including Andrea Hajal, Anthony Touma, Christina Naim, Dania Jounblat, Hanine Abdel Rahman, Jad Mawass, Jane Naami, Jessica Khater, Karen Nawfal, Maya Moussa, Maya Shokor, and Mira Hasbini Saade. Today we wanted to share with you guys more about the event, including Lara’s very own recipes that we got to try out that day!
As you all know, our mission here at Vivacy is to foster your wellbeing and give you the tools to live your happiest, healthiest life. This is why this event was centered around creating the most delicious desserts for the season while making sure they were all made with healthy and guilt-free ingredients.
After the custom-made aprons were on and the pictures were taken, it was time to start baking!
Lara introduced the recipes, everyone divided into stations and the baking (and manic!) began.
As is usually the case during the Christmas season, the kitchen was full of screaming, laughing and confusion, with everyone running around getting their ingredients and trying to follow the recipes. Thankfully, Lara was here to oversee everything and make sure everyone was on the right track!
Afterward, everyone headed back downstairs, where finally the brunch could begin! It was wonderful to see everyone getting to know each other and becoming friends over the delicious desserts that they had baked - it truly felt just like Christmas! And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Anthony Touma surprised us with a small rendition of “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, adding to the magic of the morning.
Here are the recipes we worked with during that day.
If you try the recipes, please do share pictures with us, we would love to see the results, so don’t forget to tag us and Lara using the following accounts: @vivacy.me and @laraariss, and hashtag #ChristmasWithVVC!
We hope you have a very merry Christmas season, and a vivacious year of love, laughter, joy and health!
