Living Coral Is Going To Be Everywhere In 2019!
Every year, Pantone, the company best known for color pairing, announces a color of the year. 2019’s color was chosen to be “Living Coral”, because of its animated hues that “energize and enliven with a softer edge”. This color was basically made for the beauty industry, because of its versatility in the ways - and places - it can be worn. This is why we decided to share with you some of the beauty trends associated with “Living Coral” that we are sure are going to be everywhere in 2019.
Liquid blush turned lipstick (or vice versa)
Because of its subtle peachy undertones, “Living Coral” is the perfect color to wear on both your lips and cheeks - so why not do both? The trend is increasingly to use one product on both areas in order to maintain uniformity across the face, while also providing a beautiful pop of colour.
Pops of Coral on the Eyes
Coral is not usually associated with eyeshadow because of its brightness, but it’s actually the exact pop of colour necessary to brighten the eyes and make them stand out. Don’t be afraid to dabble in coral tones and remember that even a little bit can go a long way if worn right.
On the lips
Whether in a matte, satin or tint finish, coral lips are a perfect way to dress an outfit up or down. A matte look can give a good alternative to a red lip, whereas a tint or satin finish can be subtle enough to wear all day and into the night.
On the nails
While this may be the most subtle way to wear coral, it’s by no means the least beautiful. A pop of coral on the nails will brighten up your heavy winter ensembles and carry you nicely into the sunnier months, where you will be able to go for an even brighter shade to match the sun.
Highlighter with a twist
This year, it’s time to get brave with your highlighter. Instead of going for classic gold or silver shades, try going for the ones with subtle coral undertones. They will work perfectly to bring your cheeks and cheekbones together and will instantly make you stand out.
